The White Mountain
MAPBGC Project

Mapping and Analysis of
Productivity and
BioGeochemical Cycles

The White Mountain MAPBGC project is a joint effort between researchers at the University of New Hampshire's Forest Ecosystems Research Group and the USDA Forest Service Northeastern Research Station. The project combines hyperspectral remote sensing from NASA's AVIRIS and Hyperion sensors with intensive field research aimed at determining relationships between foliar chemistry and various processes related to forest productivity and biogeochemical cycling. To learn more about MAPBGC research, see a short presentation of research results or read one of our recent publications. Also see preliminary results of a new MAPBGC application in New South Wales, Australia (in collaboration with CSIRO)
